My garden is covered with Lilly of the Valley. It's everywhere.

If you still have it in your garden you may want to consider it as a natural remedy.

Uses: cardiotonicum and diureticum.

Lilly of the Valley has been used in traditional medicine as a sedative and a diuretic. Leafs and flowers are used as heart tonicizers. The plant contains some 17 cardenolides.

You can use it straight out of the garden or buy it from a good health food store as part of a herbal mixture.

Keep in mind, that it is a potent plant and you should avoid it if you suffered from a heart attack, or atherosclerosis.

Best to err on the side of caution. For now go ahead, pick the flower and leafs, and dry for later use. Meanwhile visit your fitotherapist for advise - you might avoid pharmaceutical treatment.
